MY STORY
Hello, pleased to meet you. I’m Nicky Myny, a healing artist. With a Master’s degree in arts and a heart that beats for creativity and people, and a soul shaped by global inspiration, my mission is to help you rediscover joy, connection and purpose through the transformative power of art.
My path as a traveling artist has been anything but conventional. From my formative years in art to earning a certification in Expression Semiology at Arno Stern’s Institute in Paris, creativity has always been my compass. Alongside this, I trained as a co-active coach and immersed myself in positive psychology, where I learned how to use creativity to cultivate mental well-being and emotional resilience.
As a creative wayfinder, I guide individuals, families, and organizations on their journeys to reconnect to themselves, to each other, and to their higher purpose. Whether through 1:1 sessions, family art rituals, group circles, or corporate workshops, I hold a safe, inspiring, and non-judgmental space where exploration, expression, and transformation thrive.
Creativity is more than just expression, it’s a way of navigating life. And I’m here to guide you in finding your own creative compass.
Together, we’ll spark the infinite fire within you and help you walk a path uniquely aligned to your values, vision, and joy.
But my approach is about more than just academic training. It is deeply personal, rooted in my own healing story. When I faced illness, creativity became my medicine, helping me heal not only my body but also my spirit. It is this personal transformation that fuels everything I do. I believe art is one of the most underestimated yet powerful tools for healing and well-being.
My life experiences continue to shape my work. Living part-time in South-Africa, I’ve drawn from ancient wisdom and modern spirituality, learning how to nurture harmony between people, nature, and our inner selves. My roles as both a mother and a consultant to global corporations have broadened my perspective, enriching my understanding of sustainability and impactful leadership dynamics.
MY BACKGROUND
My expertise is built on a rich and diverse background, combining rigorous academic training with extensive professional experience. Holding a Master of Arts degree, I have dedicated my career to the intersection of art, pedagogy, and personal & professional development.
Educational Background
I have a master’s degree in Art and I am a trained and certified member of the Institute de Recherche en Sémiologie de l'Expression (IRSE) by Arno Stern in Paris. This specialized training in pedagogy underpins my unique approach to fostering creativity and self-expression. I integrate my expertise in Somatic Art with a dedication to continuous learning, fostering a deep connection between mind, body, and spirit in all that I do.
Professional Leadership
My role as the former Chief Creative Director and Artistic Facilitator at the World Economic Forum's SDG Tent for Unlocking Eve in Healthcare further highlights my leadership capabilities. In this capacity, I spearheaded initiatives that integrated creative processes into discussions on global health challenges, demonstrating the power of art to drive social change and innovation.
International Experience
My career spans multiple countries, including Belgium, Switzerland, Canada, Slovenia, England and South-Africa. My ability to navigate and thrive in various cultural contexts enriches my practice, allowing me to design inclusive and dynamic creative experiences.
Certified Coaching
As a trained Co-Active Coach by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), I bring a professional coaching framework to my work. This certification ensures that my methods are grounded in proven coaching principles, enabling me to effectively support individuals and teams in achieving their fullest potential.
By blending my academic credentials, certified coaching skills, and extensive international experience, I offer an expertise in promoting mental clarity, fostering creativity, and driving personal and organizational growth.
My Approach
At the core of my work is an intuitive approach that is deeply personalized yet grounded in scientific research. I integrate:
The Science of Positive Psychology
Evidence demonstrates that creative activities and mindfulness reduce stress, build resilience, and enhance emotional well-being. Techniques like gratitude, strength-based exercises, and mindfulness practices are proven to increase life satisfaction and mental health.
The Power of Artistic Expression
From neuro-aesthetics to expressive art-making, research shows that engaging with art stimulates areas of the brain tied to pleasure and reflection. Art can help us externalize emotions, reduce cortisol levels, and achieve profound self-awareness.
Somatic Art Experiences & Rituals
By combining movement, touch, and creative rituals, I help clients reconnect with their body’s wisdom. These sessions encourage emotional release, flow states, and grounded presence.
At its heart, my approach is about blending creativity, healing, and practical tools.
It honors both the personal and the collective, weaving together my unique mix of artistic, therapeutic, and coaching knowledge.
Impact
Through a deep commitment to fostering creativity and well-being, my work contributes meaningfully to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Wellbeing). Across borders and fields, I’ve had the privilege of creating spaces for transformation and connection, leaving a lasting impact on individuals, teams, and communities.
I was honored to be invited to speak at the World Economic Forum, where I championed the role of creativity in inspiring leaders to reimagine investments in health and well-being. My multi-day retreats with international teams at Melexis Engineering have guided participants toward greater clarity, cohesion, and innovation.
Designing and facilitating creative embodiment sessions for Unlocking Eve allowed me to bring transformation to diverse audiences in Canada, England, Switzerland, Slovenia, and beyond. These sessions bridged creativity and somatic exploration to help participants discover new paths forward.
Closer to home, I’ve facilitated healing through art in collaboration with therapeutic centers, coached medical professionals and led art sessions for healthcare providers in collaboration with Arts in Balans to promote preventative care and resilience. My role as art consultant for Cardo Brussels, the capital city’s largest hotel, allowed me to highlight the intersection of art and public spaces, creating environments that uplift their guests.
I’ve had the privilege of facilitating art workshops with Koi San children at the !Khwa ttu Heritage Center in South Africa, preserving heritage through creativity. Additionally, my impact extends into the lives of young learners through guest workshops at Green School South-Africa, where I inspired future changemakers through collaborative art experiences.
Across hundreds of group sessions, whether through art circle gatherings in South Africa or speaking at corporate events, I’ve strived to ignite inspiration, collaboration, and a re-imagining of what’s possible when creativity and well-being intersect.
My art also has a global reach, with international collectors from Belgium, South Africa, Switzerland, Hong Kong, and Italy proudly owning my work. This global appreciation reflects the universal nature of creativity and its ability to connect people across cultures and borders.
On a deeply personal level, I’ve worked with families from Belgium, South Africa, Russia, and the USA, facilitating family rituals that celebrate connection, storytelling, and shared creativity. These intimate gatherings have nurtured bonds that transcend generations, fostering profound moments of healing and unity.
The ripple effect of this work is profound. The teams, individuals, families, and communities I’ve had the honor to work with take these experiences forward, creating waves of change that extend far beyond the sessions themselves. Every moment spent together is an opportunity to nurture joy, resilience, and connection, contributing to a healthier, more purposeful world.
